This photograph was taken near the French seaside town of Agon-Coutainville in Normandy. Called le phare de la pointe d’Agon-Coutainville, this lighthouse was built in 1856 on the site of an old fort destroyed in 1776 and is now situated in a protected area of natural beauty.
